While the exterior paint protects the substrates of the home, interior paint protects and also beautifies the areas where a homeowner will spend most of their time. Our interior painting projects usually include the following steps:
Prep Work
- Mask to protect floors, windows, doors, hardware, and furniture to ensure your house and possessions are not damaged
- Remove all dirt and debris from walls
- Drywall repair: fill nail holes, expansion cracks, and other small damage
- Woodwork: caulk and putty doors, casings, baseboards, and windows as needed
- Sand and prime woodwork as required by existing conditions
- Wallpaper removal as needed
Finishes
- Apply two coats of high quality interior paint to all surfaces, including walls and ceilings
- Woodwork: paint or stain
